The Biomedical and Robotic Technologies Research Center is the first research center in the field of biomedical and robotic technologies in medicine, which was established as a subset of the Advanced Medical Technologies Research Institute. This center is affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences and is located in the heart of one of the largest hospital complexes in the country, Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex.
This center was established on 22/05/90 with the overall goal of striving for the industrial independence of the country and the development of biomedical and robotic technologies in medicine with regard to local considerations. One of the valuable and significant points in the establishment of the center is providing the possibility of close communication and close cooperation of experts from different fields of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering, computer, medicine and industry in a common research environment. This joint cooperation, on the one hand, indicates the direction of the research policy of the center, and on the other hand, the factor of quality improvement and implies compliance with local considerations and the necessary standards for the development of biomedical and robotic technologies in medicine.
