The spine is one of the most important and vital tissues that has always been of interest due to its complex structure and the sensitivity of the vascular-neural structures surrounding it. Among the surgical operations performed on this tissue, the operation of screw placement in the vertebrae is very important. The operation of placing screws in the vertebrae is performed for the purpose of spinal fixation, and errors in this can be achieved by using images taken from the desired tissue and guiding the surgery with the help of these images. However, due to the displacement of the spine, the alignment between the preoperative images and the intraoperative conditions is lost, which makes the preoperative images not very reliable. Using a stereo camera, the dose received can be greatly reduced and the amount of displacement can be calculated by matching the CT and stereo images. Displacement can result in damage to surrounding vascular or neural structures.
