Vice President for Science and Technology visits the Institute of Advanced Medical Technologies and Equipment, Tehran University
The Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, during his visit to the Institute of Advanced Medical Technologies and Equipment, emphasized the necessity of creating a comprehensive platform for the development of advanced medical equipment and their arrival in the market.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Institute of Advanced Medical Technologies and Equipment, Dr. Rouhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, Executive Director and Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, accompanied by Dr. Jalal Ghafarzadeh, Head of the General Department of Medical Equipment, visited the Institute of Advanced Medical Technologies and Equipment, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, on Monday, August 19, 2020, and met with Dr. Hossein Ghanetati, President of the University, and Dr. Saeed Sarkar, Director of the Institute, to see the achievements of the Institute.
Dr. Saeed Sarkar, Head of the Institute of Advanced Medical Technologies and Equipment, introduced the capabilities of the equipment produced by the Institute and pointed out the Scientific Vice President's support for the development of the activities of this center, adding: "With special attention to the advantages and capabilities of the Sinai robot, it is necessary to quickly conduct clinical tests and reach the industrial stage with special support. Also, with the support of the Scientific Vice President, it was decided to install several industrial CT scanners manufactured by this center for the use of researchers." Dr. Saeed Sarkar stated: "The Institute has tried to take steps in a way that meets the advanced needs of the field of medical equipment with the help of researchers and specialists, and we mainly took steps in the direction of products and services in which not many companies were active in those fields and there were serious gaps."
